Experience 4 days in Nam Ha NPA, visiting remote minority villages, trekking through the heart of the forest, and kayaking in whitewater along the Nam Ha River. Discover herbs, plants, and wildlife habitats. Enjoy authentic Lao food using jungle resources and traditional bushcraft methods. Learn survival skills like foraging for food, building shelters, and utilizing natural resources.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Luang Namtha - Ban Prang - Ban Nam Khouy
- Morning: 9:00am briefing with the guide, visit morning market for supplies, then explore Khmu village Ban Prang. Trek from Ban Prang to Ban Nam Khouy.
- Afternoon: Forage for edible vegetation for a picnic lunch using jungle methods. Arrive at a Lahu village around 3:00pm for sightseeing and cultural exploration.
- Evening: Participate in a cooking class and enjoy bonfire stories. Accommodation in the village (no toilet, bathing at a nearby stream).
Day 2: Ban Nam Khouy - Jungle Camp
- Morning: After breakfast, trek from Ban Nam Khouy to Jungle Camp 1 through primary forest, learning about herbs and animals.
- Afternoon: Trek through untouched jungle, learn survival skills and about medicinal plants. Reach jungle camp around 4:00-5:00pm.
- Evening: Set up a banana leaf shelter, collect firewood, and enjoy dinner. Accommodation is a banana leaf camp.
Day 3: Jungle Camp - Ban Nalan
- Morning: Optional early morning jungle safari. Trek downhill to Jungle Camp near the river. Choose between a 5-6 hour or 3-4 hour trek crossing the river.
- Afternoon: Jungle picnic lunch, then continue trekking through dense jungle to Ban Nalan. Check-in and explore Khmu culture.
- Evening: Enjoy a refreshing river dip, dinner, and a Baci ceremony. Accommodation at a Khmu homestay.
Day 4: Ban Nalan - Ban Houylued
- Morning: After breakfast, receive kayaking instructions and paddle down the river, tackling rapids and visiting Khmu villages.
- Afternoon: Continue kayaking, explore Lantan village, and learn about natural dyeing and bamboo paper making. End the kayak trip at Houy Leuat village and return by tuk-tuk.
